Council Board Welcomes New Members
The Council’s Board of Directors is delighted to announce the election of two outstanding additions to the Board:
Thomas J. Picone
For the past two decades, Tom Picone has been involved in a number of aspects of the financial services industry including: asset management, investment planning, business planning, estate planning, retirement planning and insurance planning. Currently the President of Picone Capital Management, Tom lives in Westchester with his wife Heidi and two sons. He is a graduate of St. John’s University and received his CLU from the American College. The Council looks to tap Tom’s understanding of the needs of the business community and his very successful fundraising experience on behalf of the Archdiocese of New York.
Andrew J. Karlen
A partner at Karlen & Stolzar, LLP, Andy Karlen serves the legal needs of businesses and their owners. He counsels family-owned and other closely held businesses on business succession planning, mergers, acquisitions and sales of businesses, agreements among entity owners, business and real estate transactions and related matters.
Andy is a frequent speaker at local colleges and community programs on legal and business issues. Also born and raised in Westchester, he lives in Rye with his wife Shelley, has two grown children and a granddaughter. Andy received his JD from New York Law School, a Masters of Law in Corporation Law from New York University School of Law and a BS in Accounting from University of Bridgeport.
Both Tom and Andy have been committed throughout their careers to using their skills, talents and time to making a contribution to their businesses, families and communities. The Council is grateful to have them on board helping to guide our future.
