Families continue to struggle with the high cost of child care. They may find themselves forced to make a decision on which early care and education program to use based on cost rather than on what they see as the best place for their child. At the same time, many of these families are unaware of possible savings they are missing from public and/or private benefits. 

The Council’s Benefits Calculator is a general screening tool designed for residents of Westchester County, New York. It will help you see if you may be eligible for a variety of public and private benefits.  These include: tax credits, scholarships and publically funded subsidies to help you pay for child care, free or low cost health insurance etc.  Please take your time filling out the form, read all of the bolded help definitions and be sure to click on the results tabs for more information about each of the benefits and how you can apply for them.  

The Council’s Benefits Calculator results are based on the information submitted by you.   In any actual application process you may be asked to provide additional information not called for by this Benefits Calculator which may affect your eligibility.   If our Calculator tells you that you “may not be eligible” for a particular benefit, we still encourage you to look further, including  reading the information provided and speaking with a representative of that benefit program.“
