Elected officials need to hear regularly from their constituents on what matters to them.     It’s important to speak up for child care now and throughout the year.

Call County Executive Rob Astorino at (914) 995-2911 and your County Legislator (visit our Westchester County Government page for names and phone numbers).

Here is an example of what you can say, keeping in mind you will be speaking with an aid to the County Executive.

“Hello, my name is _________________.  I am calling about the cuts to child care and other children’s services.    I work as a (identify your job) at (and your employer, if you wish) and it will be very difficult/impossible for me to go to my job if I don’t have help paying for child care.       I want to continue working and I want my child(ren) to be cared for and educated in a safe, quality child care program.  Please do not cut funding for child care and other children’s services.  Thank you very much.”
