Training and Professional Development > Workshop Registration and Payment Policies

Throughout the year the Council offers part-day and full-day workshops, mini-conferences, full day conferences, on-site training and parenting seminars. Training is offered during and after normal business hours, during the work week and on Saturdays, on-line and in various locations around the county.

REGISTRATION:
Payment must be received with your registration form.

Workshop Payment:
$33 Member $43 Non-Member

Full-Day Mini-Conference:
$53 Member $63 Non-Member

Half-Day Mini-Conference:
$43 Member $53 Non-Member

Day-Long Seminar:
$48 Member $63 Non-Member

Special Event Workshops and Series:
Fees noted with workshop description.

PAYMENT:
Check, money order, Visa/MasterCard or EIP Award certificate. There is a $35 returned check fee. Your enrollment is confirmed unless the Council contacts you.

WALK-IN REGISTRATION $5 LATE FEE:
All walk-in participants MUST pay an additional $5 late fee. Training certificates will be mailed after the training and when late fee payments have been received and processed.

REFUND:
If you cannot attend a workshop that you have registered for, you must notify the Finance Department at extension 163 at least three business days before the scheduled class to receive a refund. The day of the workshop is not included in the three business days. We do not give credits. You will be required to email or fax a signed written request to make a change or to receive a refund for any workshop registration within three business days before the scheduled class.

TRAINING CERTIFICATES:
Participants for whom the Council has received and processed registration and payment prior to a workshop will receive their training certificate at the conclusion of the training. All other participants will be mailed their training certificate after payment and $5 late fee is received and processed.

EIP:
Proof of having applied for EIP is NOT considered payment. Only an EIP award certificate is accepted as payment. If you have applied for EIP but not received the award certificate, you will have to pay by check, money order or credit card prior to the start of the workshop.

OUTSTANDING BALANCE:
Workshop participants who have not paid for previously attended workshops will have any new payment applied first to their outstanding debt and will be notified by the Council when this has occurred. If outstanding debt exceeds the cost of payment submitted for new workshops that individual will not be allowed to attend any Council sponsored trainings until the full debt has been eliminated.

CHILDREN:
Children are not allowed at training workshops. Please make other child care arrangements for your children.

SEATING:
Seating for workshops begins 15 minutes before the workshop. There will be no admittance 15 minutes after the start of the workshop.
