ADDITIONAL CHILD CARE COUNCIL SERVICES

ATTEND A 15-HOUR HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING AND GET A $10 WORKSHOP COUPON!
This course is mandatory prior to registration or licensing for family child care or group family child care providers. Registered or licensed providers, who need training to meet the 30-hour mandatory training requirements, may also attend this course. EIP funding may be used. Call (914) 761-3456, ext. 115, to inquire about the dates.  PLUS!! Attend a 15 hour Health & Safety Course and receive a $10 workshop coupon for any training at the Council, valid for 90 days!

MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION TRAINING COURSES

WHO: Child care providers who choose to administer medication to children in a childcare setting must take this course, including programs that administer Epi Pen® and Asthma medications only.
TRAINING HOURS: Receive a total of 8 training hours (9am - 6pm).

INFANT/TODDLER CDA TRAINING
The Infant Toddler CDA class, which meets at the Council once a week from September through May, fulfills the 120 hour CDA education requirement.  The class is FREE and open to individuals who work with infants or toddlers at programs that accept and serve children subsidized by Westchester DSS.  To register for the September 2010 class, call Wendy Rolnick at (914) 761-3456, ext.161, or e-mail wendyr@cccwny.org.

eCDA- ONLINE CDA TRAINING
In response to your requests, the Child Care Council is very excited to be the first organization in New York State, in partnership with Teaching Strategies, to offer eCDA.  eCDA is a hybrid version of the CDA.  In addition to the online piece, our program includes technical support from Master's level professionals who conduct the in-person classes on a monthly basis.  Participants can choose between an Infant/Toddler or Preschool Center-Based Credential.  For more information and to inquire about the dates please contact Janine Duke at (914) 761-3456 ext. 219. 

INFANT/TODDLER SERVICES
Infant/Toddler Specialists are available for free technical assistance and on-site training for programs serving infants and/or toddlers.  The specialists assist center, family and group programs in promoting best practices and conducting the Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale (ITERS) and the Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale (FCERS) assessments to improve the quality of your program.  For more information call Laura Cleare at (914) 761-3456, ext. 169, or Miriam Kerness at (914) 761-3456, ext. 134.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, CREDENTIAL & NAEYC ACCREDITATION SUPPORT
We offer phone support, informational sessions and resources to early childhood professionals working on credentials and certificates.  We also help center based and family programs initiate the NAEYC or NAFCC accreditation process and review final documentation to assure that it is accurate and complete.  To find out more, please call Wendy Rolnick at (914) 761-3456, ext. 161

Subsidy Support Services

FREE ON-SITE ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING AVAILABLE! Do you have families who receive financial assistance to help pay for care through the child care subsidy system/DSS? If so, we can help you! Our Subsidy Support Services will provide you with individualized assistance to resolve payment issues; understand the rules & regulations of child care subsidy; inquire about a case status; and much more.
